Book Review - Sir Tailor Master
Book Review - Sir Tailor MasterWhen I was looking for a fashion master tutor, my friend recommended that I read Sir Tailor Master. He said he read the book because of his son and thought that it would be a good resource to help him get ready for the school's entrance exam.Although I had heard of this author before, it wasn't until I read the book that I realized how much I missed the library. In fact, I came away with two pages of Sir Tailor Master reviews. One reviewer describes a meeting where he was discussing with his son about the work of Tailor who was, in turn, describing a dream from years ago. This actually leads into one of the more compelling aspects of the book: the writing. The author borrows ideas from many different sources to create a truly modern look at old ways of doing things. He presents lessons on how to negotiate and reach certain compromises in dealing with others and in creating products for other people. It is also a story about one man trying to change the wor ld for the better by understanding the power of his character traits. A mentor figure from the past speaks to us about the value of humility, being patient, learning from one's mistakes, and the art of paying attention to the details. I am very interested in learning from a person who was around more than just a decade ago.One thing that has always fascinated me about Sir Tailor Master is how he uses material from all over the world to tell a story of life, people, and changes within the changing world. For instance, there is a chapter about how fashion works in countries that lack a wealth of resources but where the art of clothing production is more widespread. The French had their great rise in clothing over the last century, but there were regions in Africa where they used the same materials and designs that they saw in their black colonial home shoes. The author gives an interesting account of how other countries and cultures in the world have influenced the way our culture has changed over the last hundred years.Overall, I enjoyed reading Sir Tailor Master, as it was fun to read a story about fashion and how it is a very important aspect of the human experience. I also found it interesting how he used the words and ideas from the classics in his story.
